One great use of stories is for regular meetings. Each week or month just copy your last presentation, then refresh each visualisation with current data, update the text as required, and you’re ready to go! You can then present it live, or export to PowerPoint or PDF for distribution.
When presenting live, you can click on any chart or table and ‘Go-To Source’. This takes you to the sheet with the chart or table, and you can then change the selections to investigate further. For instance, imagine you are presenting a page showing a breakup of sales by store and some in the audience asks what it would look like if you take out a certain set of products. You can go to the source and then change the selections and see the result! Then, it is just a matter of clicking back into the presentation to continue.
Stories are built into Qlik Sense, and everyone can create them.
