Hubspot has accumulated data from their customer base of 70,000 businesses worldwide to understand key performance metrics and how they have changed from the benchmark pre COVID to now.
There are two areas of interest for anyone considering a software implementation:
a) ‘Deals Closed’ by industry ‘computer software’ and b) ‘Deals Created’ by industry ‘computer software’.
From the 25 August 2020, the number of deals closed is on an upward incline to remain steady in positive % change. This, in isolation, shows a willingness of business to use this time to start IT projects.
When this is looked at in the context of the number of deals created (disregarding an outlier in 27/7) which has on average stayed negatively impacted we begin to understand that it is companies that have previously understood the requirement for ERP software, as an example, but perhaps have not had the time or resources in place to sign off and begin the project.
